Lithium has a narrow therapeutic range and toxicity should also be suspected even when lithium is within the target range if symptoms are present and in compromised patientse.g. older patients, interacting drugs such as NSAIDs/diuretics, sodium depletion, decreased renal function, <50 kg body weight.
